HAPPY NEW YEARRRR EVERYBODY...biarpun sudah terlambat beberapa hari , yang penting masih di bulan Januari D . Sebagai review tempat kuliner di awal tahun , saya persembahkan Chung Gi Wa.... tet tret tet..*suara trompet D Chung Gi Wa ini sebenarnya sudah gak terlalu baru di Semarang, sudah lama direkomen sama hopeng saya si Cindy , dan sudah lama juga mau nyobain tapi selalu gagal karena tiap kali saya ke Semarang tempat ini selalu penuh terutama saat jam makan , jadinya baru sempat cobain kemarin dan pas di jam tidak makan sekitar jam 3 sore . Hasilnya puasssss.. selain rasanya yang memang enak, tempatnya juga nyaman dan yang unik adalah filtrek / penyedot asap di tiap mejanya benar-benar eye catching D . Interior dengan penyedot asap yang terekspose pipa-pipanya Suasana interiornya dibuat seKorea mungkin, dengan dominasi warna dan perabot kayu. Sedangkan penyedot asap yang eyecatching-nya itu terbuat dari logam seperti warna tembaga / bronze. Berhubung datang tidak di jam makan, kami langsung terlayani , waiternya langsung memperkenalkan diri, cekatan dan siap menjawab apa saja soal menu-menu di Chung Gi Wa. Ini penampakan buku menunya. Menunya tidak terlalu banyak, karena memang Chung Gi Wa ini fokus di menu beef n pork grilled aja. Jadi disini tidak ditemukan menu seperti sosis atau seafood BBQ. Bagi yang suka menu kuah / suki disini juga tersedia paketnya. Menu yang direkomen oleh waiternya adalah BULGABI IDR 220 K , yang merupakan beef ribs sudah tanpa tulang dan dibumbui rasa BBQ yang manis. Kata waiternya itu merupakan menu favorit orang Semarang yang suka manis selain tentunya BULGOGI IDR 78 K yang jadi andalan menu Korea. Cuman kalau Bulgogi karena dagingya berupa irisan kecil , jadi kalau di grill langsung menyusut dan porsinya jadi terlihat sedikit. Bagi yang suka lidah sapi juga bisa coba menu USOL IDR 78 K . Oiya sebagai info , satu porsi daging bisa dimakan 2 -3 orang . Bagi penyuka lemak dan tidak diet disana juga banyak daging yang mengandung lemak hehehe tinggal dilihat saja foto dagingnya, semakin banyak putihnya berarti lemak semakin banyak ^^ . Menu di atas ada menu kuah dan sayur biarpun tidak telalu banyak , ada juga menu PAJON / Korean Pancake IDR 75 K bentuknya seperti omelete. Kami mencicipi menu GALBITANG / beef rib soup 65K , porsinya besar bisa untuk 2 orang , kuahnya disajikan dengan soon dan daun bawang. Rasanya mirip-mirip sop buntut , bedanya tidak pakai wortel dan kentang D Nah .. menu di atas sebagian besar adalah menu non-halal alias daging pork. Kami juga mencoba menu pork nya yang direkomen oleh waiternya karena ada bumbu bbq manis nya selain tidak terlalu berlemak juga yaitu YANG YUM GUI 78 K , untuk penggemar sam can bisa pesan SAMGYOPSAL 69 K . Untuk proses penyajian, seperti kebanyakan Korean BBQ lainnya, mereka menyediakan grill di meja , jadi setelah memilih daging , waiter akan bawakan daging mentah itu ke meja kita dan memasakkannya sekalian sesuai selera pelanggan. Ada yang suka lebih kering / matang, ada yang suka juicy bisa diorder ke waiternya saat memanggang. Pemanasan batunya dengan penyedot asap Bulgogi Yang Yam Gui Pertama kali lihat harganya untuk ukuran Semarang rasanya cukup mahal, tapi setelah disajkan beserta complimentnya harga-harganya cukup masuk akal , jadi tidak heran selalu ramai biarpun sudah buka beberapa bulan. Dan Chung Gi Wa Semarang ini adalah cabang ke - 10 . Mau tahu apa saja yang "FREE" disini , silakan lihat di bawah ^__^ Teh Tawar dingin Saus yang wadah besar itu saus asin , kalau yang wadah kecil isi 3 itu manis, sambel, garam dari bawah ke atas Aneka sayur dan kimchi , ada labu siam, terong, jamur, timun, sawi, dan yang pasti favorit saya Selada segarnya ! Kalau memesan sop nya sudah include 1 mangkok nasi Sebagai dessert ada buah semangka potong ^^ Wefie dulu sebelum menikmati D Pas kita datang kesana masih suasana tahun baru , jadi pihak resto menyediakan kertas untuk menulis cita-cita di tahun 2015 , pemasangannya mirip gembok di Korea D . Saya ikut menulis, dan resolusi pertama adalah dietttttt... tapi kenapa makannya di Chung Gi Wa ??? wkwkwk... Overall saya pribadi cocok dengan menu disini , 'acar-acar;nya juga asyik , rasanya juga pas dengan lidah saya, jadi next time bakal kesini lagi untuk mencoba menu lain. This restaurant is almost as good as the original one in Jakarta. A few times eating here, however and i notice that the kimchi might not be as...strong as some people would like. But, this place serves authentic korean-style BBQ, so for some people in Semarang this place may be on a more bland tasting meat in comparison to the sweeter tasting S*oul P*lace. However the BBQ tastes much more natural here, with the few seasoning helping out to bring the real taste and the quality of the meat. The samgyupsal fat drip, you get to see it all curled up sexily, before the waitress cut it into bite sized morsels. Then you dip the baby into the Gochujang provided. YUM it was blissed. This is one of the few korean restos in Semarang, i would reccommend it if you are more of minimalist kind of diner.
